Regular Services


Our lively church community of Christ the King, Battyeford has regular services and groups that run throughout the year as well as many special services and events.  Contact the Vicar for more information.

Sunday 8am
Holy Communion. A quiet service, no hymns; average attendance 15; refreshments.

Sunday 10am
Parish Eucharist with music and hymns; average attendance 95; Sunday School and crèche; refreshments.

Wednesday 10am
Holy Communion. Average attendance 32; refreshments.

Second Friday of the Month 2pm
Service and activities for preschool children and whoever brings them along.

Monday to Friday 8.30am
Morning Prayer is said in church.

Christenings are arranged directly with families and can be held on any Sunday at either 10am during our main service or at a service at 11.45am by arrangement with the Vicar.

Messy Church

Twice every term throughout the school year. Informal worship for all the family.  Visit our events page for upcoming dates.


Harvest Festival

An All Age Service attended by our Uniformed Organisations. We collect food for homeless charities in our area. Usually the first Sunday in October 10am.


In Memory

An annual service for those who have been bereaved. This is usually held on the first Sunday in November at 3pm.


Advent Sunday

4pm on Advent Sunday. A reflective Service of music and prayers to mark the beginning of Advent.


Toy Service

10am on the first Sunday in December. An All Age Service where we donate new toys for children less fortunate than ourselves.



4pm Christmas Eve. Our busiest service of the year attracting around 500 local families and friends. Arrive really early for a seat!!


Taize Services & Iona Services

During the year we often have a service on a Tuesday evening using liturgy and music from the Taize Community in France and the Iona Community in Scotland. These are advertised separately.


Lent, Holy Week and Easter

Services are arranged throughout this period and every day during Holy Week culminating in our Easter Services on Easter morning.


Good Friday

10am Eastingle! A time of prayer, song and activity for children and their families. Average attendance over the last 5 years is around 80 and finishes about 11.30am.
